2007 Community Shredding Event for Identity Theft Safety
The first-ever SCSSD Community Shredding Event for Identity Theft Safety was held on Saturday, April 21st 2007. SCSSD hired a shredding truck that conveniently parked for two hours in each of the four Community Districts. Neighbors took full advantage of this free opportunity to safely dispose of expired personal documents. By days end, the truck consumed 3.26 tons in shredded materials! SCSSD also distributed educational literature on identity theft safety, as well as free SCSSD logo gifts, pretzels and drinks. Four lucky residents received a personal home shredder as part of the free event raffle. View Photos
